Reaksyon Ni Catriona Gray Sa Issue Ng Dayaan Sa Binibining Pilipinas 2022!

Ipinagtanggol ng Corner Stone Management sina Ms. Universe 2018 Catriona Gray at Ms. Grand International Philippines 2016 Nicole Ignacio Cordoves sa controversial Bb. Pilipinas 2022 Grand coronation night.

Ang Corner Stone ang talent management company na nangangalaga kina Catriona at Nicole na host ng katatapos lamang ng pageant. Nabahiran ng isyu ang Bb. Pilipinas 2022 coronation night, nang magka delay sa announce sa nanalong Bb. Pilipinas International 2022.

Nagkaroon ng dead air matapos maanunsyo ang mga nanalong Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas Globe at Bb. Pilipinas Grand International. Nakuhanan ng video ang bahagi ng program kung saan kinausap sina Catriona at Nicole ng floor director ng pageant sa kalagitnaan ng delay.

Makikita sa mukha ni Catriona ang pag-aalala at seryosong pagturo niya sa kanyang cue cards para ipaabot sa floor director kung anuman ang mensahe niya. Dahil dito, hindi naiwasang magtanong ng mga netizens at ng mga nakapanood ng coronation night kung ano ang dahilan ng delay. Hinuha pa ng ilan na may pagkakamali sa pagtawag ng mga nanalo.

Naglabas naman ng official statement ang Corner Stone at nanindigan na walang pagkakamali ang mga hosts na sina Catriona at Nicole. Tama umano ang mga resultang binasa ng dalawa at verified pa ito ng SGV. Ayon sa pahayag mula sa Corner Stone, “The winners announced by the hosts were accordingly based on the titles printed on the cards, which were handed over by SGV & Co. partner and representative, Mr. Ocho. Mr. Ocho even rechecked the cards and confirmed that the results announced by the hosts were accurate. We hope that this will put to rest any controversy concerning last night’s results.” 

Naglabas din ng personal na pahayag  si Catriona hinggil sa isyu. Sabi nito sa kanyang Facebook post nitong lunes, August 1.

"About last night...

As the hosts of last night’s Binibining Pilipinas 2022, @binibiningnicolecordoves and I announced the winners accordingly based on the titles printed on the individual title cards as these were handed over by SGV & Co. partner and representative, Mr. Ocho.

As a member of the overseeing committee during the deliberations (as pictured on slide 4 by BPCI Execom member @laraquigaman), Mr. Ocho later rechecked the cards and confirmed that the results previously announced were correct, which became the decisive factor in moving forward with the announcement.

As former candidates ourselves, we understand what the girls go through and would, therefore—without a second thought—correct any errors, if any were made. But as already explained, SGV & Co. partner and representative Mr. Ocho himself confirmed the validity of the results.
