Nagbigay ng pahayag ang talent manager-vlogger na si Wilbert Tolentino hinggil sa posponement ng Miss Planet International sa susunod na taon.
Naunang inilabas ng Miss Planet International ang kanilang official statement kung saan nila inihiyag na matutuloy pa rin ang kompetisyon sa kabila ng mga pinagdaanang aberya nito. Subalit, makalipas lamang ang ilang sandali, muling naglabas ng official statement ang Miss Planet.
Kung saan ipinahayag nila na hindi na matutuloy ang kompetisyon sa taong ito. Iniuurong nila ang kompetisyon sa January 2023 at gaganapin na ito sa Kingdom of Cambodia.
“On behalf of our Miss Planet International Organization we are announcing the postponement of our worldwide competition that would be held in Uganda on November 19th, 2022. We regret to inform that the Finals and Preliminary competitions won’t be held due to the Host Organizers failed to comply and meet the requirements for the realization of the events.
Miss Planet International 2022 moves forward and it will be held in the Kingdom of Cambodia in January 2023. We would like to express our sincere apologies for all the inconvenience caused."
Agad namang nagkomento si Wilbert Tolentino sa nasabing statement ng Miss Planet. Ayon sa kanya, paanong hindi mapopostpone gayung lahat ng mga sponsors ay nagback-out na at wala na ring natitirang delegates.
“Nahihibang pa sila may susupporta. yung integrity at credibility ginawa nila sa lahat ng delegates,” sey ni Wilbert Tolentino.
