Viral at pinag-uusapan sa social media ang opinion ng writer na si Lolito Go hinggil sa nangyaring inclusivity ngayon ng Miss Universe 2023.
Pinayagan ng Miss Universe ngayong taon ang isang married contestant, si Miss Universe Colombia Camila Avella, dalawang transgender participants, sina Marina Machete ng Portugal, at Rikkie Kollé ng Netherlands, at ang plus-size contestant, si Miss Universe Nepal Jane Garrett para makipagkumpitensya para sa korona.
Marami naman sa mga fans ng Miss Universe ang nasiyahan sa ginawang hakbang na ito ng Miss Universe Organization kung saan naging inclusive na ang pageant sa mga may asawa, transgender at plus size.
Gayunpaman, hindi pa rin maipagkakaila na marami ang hindi nasiyahan sa ginawang inclusivity ng Miss Universe kabilang na ang writer na si Lolito Go.
Nilinaw naman niya na hindi naman siya against sa inclusity sa isang pageant subalit sobrang inclusivity naman ang ginawa ngayon ng Miss Universe.
“May transgender na, may mga nanay na, may plus-sized na rin sa Miss Universe. I’m all for inclusivity pero hanggang saan ipipilit ng pageant organizers yung inclusivity na ito just to drive home a romantic point?

Kaagad naman itong umani ng samu't-saring komento mula sa mga netizens at sa ilang mga pageant fans kung saan binabatikos si Lolito Go sa kanyang opinyon.
Ipinunto ng ilang mga fans na ang ginawang inclusivity ng Miss Universe 2023 ay isang pagpapakita ng progress at growth sa pageantry.
